Most projects are multi-disciplinary. This means working alongside other experts as part of a wider team.
Some of the complementary services we can provide with our subsidiaries or with specialized companies are:

Surface and subsea positioning

The provision of precise offshore positioning using GPS (global positioning satellites) is paramount for offshore operations and surveys.

Survey for construction support

This survey service is used during the positioning of offshore infrastructures like pipelines, subsea equipment and production platforms. Project support extends from the preparation of procedures to the compilation of the final survey reports and charts. Services include the entire range of field positioning services, umbilical, riser and flowline installations and other subsea infrastructure.

Geophysical surveys

A service which provides detailed information and assessment of the seabed and sub-seabed in preparation for pipelaying, or the installation of subsea equipment or even a platform.

Survey for inspection services

This survey service includes acoustic and visual inspection of subsea pipeline and associated structures, sometimes using sonar, sometimes advanced underwater digital video cameras

Pre-commissioning, commissioning and de-commissioning activities

A service that include pipeline cleaning, pigging, gauging, flooding, flushing, leak testing, hydrotesting, dewatering, just to mention but a few. Some of these processes require specific equipment and chemicals, for example for vacuum drying, degassing and nitrogen cleaning. To provide these activities, which normally are part of a wider scope of work, we involve specialized experts, with which we have strong relationships since long time, to work on site in co-operation with our diving team.

Working at height and rope access

A safe method of working at height where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and from the work position. The use of teams working at height to inspect, maintain, repair and renovate the offshore structures is quite recent, but the request is increasing because workers on ropes are able to reach areas which were impossible (or very expensive) to get to by other access means. The rope access services are carried out by our subsidiary RanaWorks (www.ranaworks.com), which is a member of IRATA and is located in the Netherlands, where rope access technicians are commonly employed in the windfarms.

Data recording & reporting

Data recording and reporting are particularly important when inspections are carried out, because they represent the synthesis of the offshore work, either it is a long diving & ROV inspection campaign of several jackets and pipelines, or just a ship’s in-water survey at quay. With our report, you can make informed decisions based on actual “as found” conditions, track the anomalies and compare the data with previous or future inspections.
Our final reports are consistent with the diving activity logs, as-built drawings, digital video, photo, charts, as applicable. We can also provide tailor made solutions for the most demanding clients, employing specialized asset integrity management systems from qualified partners.
