Air diving systems

Rana owns several complete surface supplied diving systems, recently manufactured utilizing the latest in design and current state-of-the art technique to ensure safe manned diving from 0 – 50 msw.

Portable (also known as mobile) diving systems are installed on a vessel or installation on a temporary basis. Rana owns several complete surface supplied (air) diving systems, recently manufactured to ABS standards, utilizing the latest in design and current state-of-the art technique to ensure safe manned diving from 0 – 50 msw.

The choice of the diving system is determined by the type of installation (vessel or fixed structure) and the detail of the type of diving equipment involved in the activity.

Typical diving equipment

includes, but is not limited to:

  • Dive control units

  • Decompression chambers

  • LARS

    Launch and recovery systems

  • Helmets and bail-out bottles

  • Diver hot water unit

  • Umbilicals, panels and compressors

  • Diving suits and accessories

  • Daughtercraft surface supplied systems

    (commonly known as SCUBA Replacement)

The diving systems are duly maintained and certified in compliance with the IMCA D023 Diving Equipment System Inspection Guidance Notes (DESIGN).

Saturation diving systems

Rana owns n° 3 portable saturation diving systems, but also uses in-built saturation diving systems when the DSV is chartered directly or provided by the client.
The portable systems, like Rana’s, are modular and can be configured in a range of layouts to suit different vessels.
The diving systems are duly maintained and certified in compliance with the IMCA D024 Diving Equipment System Inspection Guidance Notes (DESIGN).

Saturation diving systems are typically configured in two categories:

  • Integrated

    into the Diving Support Vessel (in-built during the DSV construction);

  • Portable

    mobile/portable systems, designed to be temporarily installed on vessels of opportunity, removed at the end of the project and re-deployed on different vessels as necessary.
